  • Adobe is introducing an all-in-one editor in Adobe Express that lets creators craft design elements, Tiktok videos, images, social images, PDFs and more, all in a single location. Think of it as your creative command center - no need for jumping between various Adobe applications.

  • Firefly, Adobe's generative AI, is being integrated right within Express. You just give a text prompt and voila! Unique images and text effects get created on command.

  • The update also tosses in new video templates, page templates, and design elements, bringing the Express library to an astounding 200 million assets (!). That means 200 million royalty-free stock images, fonts, icons, backgrounds, and shapes at your fingertips.

  • Also, quick actions like background removal, character animation, GIF conversion, and PDF editing have been added for an AI-powered upgrade.

  • These updates are already available in the FREE Adobe Express desktop beta, and mobile updates are expected to follow soon.

  • Adobe also has plans to bring both Firefly and Express to Google Bard, allowing users to create using Firefly directly inside of Bard.

2. More Adobe news: Generate AI imagery for your E-Commerce business without fear of copyright infringement

As an e-commerce business owner, you're likely aware of the potential of generative AI tools in creating captivating visuals. However, concerns about copyright infringement can hold you back.

Fear not! Adobe is now offering full indemnification for any copyright infringement lawsuits related to content generated by its Firefly generative AI tool.

  • Adobe will take responsibility for any copyright infringement lawsuits related to the content created by Firefly, and offer financial protection and legal defense to customers in case they face legal challenges regarding copyright issues.

  • Note: This offer is currently available to enterprise customers.

  • Why is Adobe so confident? Well, Firefly is trained exclusively on Adobe's stock images and openly licensed or public-domain content. This approach minimizes the chance of copyright infringement in the first place.

Here’s what’s coming and how it can be utilized for E-Commerce:

  • AI Stickers in Messenger: Meta's plan to introduce AI stickers in Messenger presents an opportunity for e-commerce businesses to enhance their messaging and customer communication. AI-generated stickers could be customized to reflect the brand's identity or showcase specific products.

💡 Take of the Day:

Google & Microsoft incorporating ads into AI experiments… we’re cool with that, right?

Google and Microsoft have decided to incorporate ads into their AI experiments without allowing brands the choice to opt out. This implies that advertising content could potentially appear next to unrelated or inappropriate material.

Google has revealed plans to incorporate existing search ads into its latest project, the Search Generative Experience, while Microsoft is also proceeding with an initiative to experiment with ads in its Bing AI chatbot.

This has raised concerns among advertisers who prefer to control where their ads appear online to prevent any possible damage to their brand's reputation. Some businesses have even halted their ad spend in response to these changes, arguing that this approach is not in line with “industry standards.”

🤔 Meg’s Take:

In the fast-paced world of online advertising, staying competitive means embracing new opportunities.

Concerns about inappropriate content and brand reputation are valid. But this may be more concerning for major corporations than small business e-commerce owners.

Personally, I’m excited by the changes coming to Google Ads and I’m interested in participating in any and all experiments available… assuming there may be an opportunity to drive relevant traffic to my store and lower ad costs.

Plus, Google and Microsoft are actively working on addressing these concerns. As AI experiments progress, you can expect them to take steps to protect brand integrity.
