📰 Stay in the Loop: AI E-Com News
1. Google still cool with AI-written content, as long as it sounds natural 👩
Google is working on rules about how to handle content created by AI (Artificial Intelligence). They're also thinking about something called E-E-A-T, which stands for Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness.
Right now, Google doesn't seem to care if content is made by AI or a human, as long as it's good quality.
Google doesn't put a special label on AI content. They leave it up to the people who publish the content to decide if they want to tell their readers it was made by an AI.
Google likes "natural content" the best. That's content written by humans for humans. They usually rank this type of content at the top of their search results.
Google is still figuring out how to deal with AI content when it comes to E-E-A-T. Since an AI doesn't have real-life experience or expertise, it's hard for it to meet the quality standards that Google wants. Google says they'll let everyone know what their policy is once they've made up their minds.
You might be thinking of using (or already using) AI to create content for your website. So just remember, Google likes "natural content" best. So, always aim for high-quality content that FEELS human written. That way, you'll have a better chance of ranking high on Google's search results.
2. Ads between Instagram reels 🎥
Meta has decided to add a twist to reels. Now, businesses can run ads in between those short videos on Instagram. Earlier, this was only possible on Facebook.
In addition, Meta found that these ads with music or voiceover get 15% more positive reactions from viewers. So, they're testing a way for AI to pick the best music for their single-image Reels ads.
3: Google’s AI search - how links are working 🔗
We have previously talked about the changes to Google’s AI search (Search Generative Experience (SGE)). As a result of these changes, you may need to focus more on creating compelling ads, keeping your product information updated in the Google Merchant Center, encouraging positive product reviews, and finding ways to deal with the JavaScript links in SGE results.
